Pottery Introduction ① Fukukō Kiln

I'm Semba, the representative of Atom!

Starting today, I'll be casually posting about various things, including Tobe-yaki pottery, Ehime Prefecture, my private life with my cats, and more.☺️

Please feel free to take a look!🥰

First, I'd like to introduce 'Fukko-gama,' who created the ohitsu (rice container) for our three-company collaboration with Old Mountain.✨

Hiroyuki Fukuoka of Fukko-gama established his kiln in 1979, 47 years ago.

As a Traditional Craftsman of Tobe-yaki, he has won numerous awards and continues to be a leading figure in Tobe-yaki.✨

We both love cats, and he's always friendly, chatting with me and teaching me carefully.☺️

His wife is also a Traditional Craftsman of Tobe-yaki, and her gentle demeanor is reflected in her works.🌸

And then there's their son, Makoto. He has inherited their wishes and creates Tobe-yaki. He has also won awards and always kindly advises me on my creations!😭

And then! The three cats that always greet us🤍

Pon-chan, the long-haired cat,🐈⬛ used to hide, but lately, I've been seeing her more often.🩶

Kuro-chan, the black cat,🐈⬛ is very friendly and always rubs against me.🖤

Finally, Mike-chan,🐈 a beautiful cat with shiny fur.🧡

And these are the pieces I made myself during my Tobe-yaki experience at Fukko-gama!😁

I made this plate with my beloved cat, Uri, as the motif!

This one, as you can see, is a frog! (laughs)🐸

My grandmother loves frogs, so I tried making it for her.👵

Thanks to everyone's guidance, I think I was able to create a nice atmosphere for both pieces!

I'll introduce them again when I go back to make more, so look forward to it!

That's a brief introduction to Fukko-gama!🙇

Please look forward to the creations we'll make with Fukko-gama in the future!🤩
