Thank you to everyone who always supports Atom.
And for those of you visiting for the first time, welcome to uutmm.s (Atom)!

We have just opened a new online store for "uutmm.s (Atom) Tobe-yaki Specialty Store."

Tobe-yaki ware is there to gently support your daily life, whether it's at the breakfast table or during a moment of respite in the evening.

We have poured our desire to deliver small daily joys through our pottery into this new website.

The brand name "Atom (uutmm.s)"

uutmm.s (Atom) is derived from the Greek word "atom," meaning something that cannot be broken down any further.
We chose this name with the wish that our company would be one that, no matter what difficulties or challenges we face, will never break apart.

And, hidden within the alphabet spelling, is another meaning...

My family loves cats and we have five. All five are rescue cats. I hope to do something for rescue cats in the future, so I took the first letter of each cat's name.

u = Uumi
t = Tora
m = Maro
m = Mimi

And my surname is Senba, a name I wanted to keep somewhere in the future, so I added ".s" at the end.

The charm of Tobe-yaki lies in its smooth white porcelain surface, the flowing lines of the gosu underglaze, and the accidental expressions created by the glaze. We believe that each of these "small differences" gradually enriches the user's daily life.

The pottery is born from the hands and time of many people—the kilns in the production area, the decorators, and the artisans who sweat in the kilns. Atom values selecting pieces that convey the warmth of this handiwork and providing descriptions that allow customers to imagine their usability.

From now on, we want to deliver stories about the production process, the people who create the products, their words, scenes from their workshops, and their techniques.

We will continue to add exciting articles, such as kiln visit reports and daily care methods.

Additionally, we will carefully curate wonderful Tobe-yaki items, focusing on selections that blend into daily life, from timeless classics that you'll never tire of, to seasonal delights, and unique pieces perfect for gifts.
